The Concrete Jungle Book

A short film to publicise the amazing graphic novel The Concrete Jungle Book.

Nylon Films created a short marketing trailer for a new graphic novel, The Concrete Jungle Book.  We were charged with scripting, directing and producing a piece that would showcase the  incredible artwork of the book and leave the viewers wanting “more.”  To accomplish this,  we animated original artwork from the book and then edited it together with newly shot video and stills of urban landscapes and scrapbook making. Using ToonIt, we transformed footage of live animals and added into the mix. The piece was choreographed to a hard charging music track (think badass Texas hip hop laced with funky, rappy honkytonk) created by one of our partners,  Dan Thomasson.
