A short film about the Rambert Dance Company.

We produced this short piece for The Rambert Dance Company to use in their fundraising and promotional purposes. The brief was to develop a narrative that gave viewers an insight into the creation of new dance performances by the “rising stars of the dance world” and highlighted the company’s commitment to developing new choreographers and dance pieces.

To accomplish this, we followed five dancers, Rambert’s musicians and creative director as they choreographed new pieces for an upcoming show at London’s Royal Opera House.  In order to capture the beauty and movement of each dance, we used a combination of interview and observational filming techniques. The project required innovative filming on multiple types of high definition cameras in locations ranging from rehearsal rooms, to front and back stage theatre, to roof tops and gardens.
