Live stream and short form video for corporate training and marketing.
In the autumn of 2010, Nylon worked with Avon cosmetic company and their consultants on a project to create a live vision-mixed feed from a hub location in the United States, to stream to five South American countries, and then to create several documentary style pieces about the event. The goal of the live project was to create a visually dynamic and seamless, live video, that would enable satellite participants to feel like they were in the hub location, and at the same time, give participants in the hub the feeling that their colleagues in South America were participating in the event. The goal of the short form pieces was to showcase the innovative nature and excitement of the event.
The project required multi camera, multi location filming and close coordination with the client’s hardware and IT specialists to plan, test and provide the correct formats required for the job. Key to the successful completion of the job was detailed upfront planning, understanding where to look for interesting visuals to move the story along and pulling together a team with the requisite skills and personalities to manage, shoot and edit both creatively and efficiently. Also key was our ability to interview senior level corporate executives, consultants and participants – careful background preparation and the right team enabled us to ask questions that put the interviewees at ease and generated relevant response. Experienced editing made sure the final pieces showed the respondents at their best whilst remaining true to their message.
